Muskátli, a Vajdaság virágai
A film témájának középpontjában az 1986-ban kivirágzó, majd az 1991-ben kitört háborúig
töretlenül sikeres, vajdasági eredetű „Muskátli” zene kulturális jelensége áll. A zenészek és a
korszakot belülről ismerők feltárják, hogyan alakult át a magyar mulatós népzene stílusa „Muskátli” formává. Kiderül, hogy a kulturális ellenállás dacára, miért olyan népszerű az irányzat napjainkban is. Archív felvételek szemléltetik a ’80-as, ’90-es évek „Muskátli” videóit. A jelenben felvett jelenetek révén pedig betekintést nyerünk a zenészek és közönségük jelenlegi állapotrajzába.
Muskátli / Geranium, the flowers of Vojvodina
The movie’s topic is focused on the cultural phenomenon of „Muskátli” music, which was
continuously blooming in Vojvodina from 1986 till the outbreak of the war in 1991 in Serbia.
Musicians and those who know the era well, unfold how Hungarian folkloric music style
turned into the „Muskátli” format.
We find out, in spite of a cultural resistance, why the trend is still popular nowadays.
Archives show the videos of ’80-s’90-s records. Recently recorded scenes give us
an inside look at the musicians and their audience’s present state.
A film hosszabb, rendezői változatát 2020 decembere óta vetítik Vajdaságban és Magyarországon. Több televízió műsorra tűzte. 2021-ben megkapta a belgrádi Dok’N’Ritam Filmfesztivál zsűrijének szakmai fődíját.
The longer, director’s version of the film has been shown in Vojvodina and Hungary since December 2020. It was broadcast on several television stations. In 2021, it received the professional prize of the jury of the Dok’N’Ritam Film Festival in Belgrade.
